The United Methodist Church of Peace is pleased to welcome Rev. Saleem Akhtar as our new pastor. Since 2024 He has pursued his Master's in Theology at Luther Seminary in St. Paul and completed it this spring. Previously, Pastor Saleem served in the Methodist Church in Pakistan from 2004-2024 in various pastoral and leadership roles, having completed his M.Div. there in 2004. Pastor Saleem currently resides in St. Paul with his spouse, Rev. Alyssa Saleem. She serves as a pastor at Fairmount Avenue UMC. Pastor Saleem notes that he enjoys listening to music, playing the Tabla (a classical Asian musical instrument), reading, and exploring nature.
